Privacy Policy for Sideboard

Sideboard ("the app") is a companion app for board and card games. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

1. Information we collect directly

Sideboard is an offline-first app. We do not require an account, sign-in, or any registration. All game data you create — sessions, presets, players, components, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate servers that store your personal data, and your game data is never uploaded to us or to any cloud service.

2. Local network play

The app offers optional multi-device play over your local Wi-Fi network. When used, game state is exchanged directly between devices on the same local network. This data is not transmitted to us or to the internet.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Sideboard is free and supported by ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the following with Google and its advertising partners:

This data is used for advertising and marketing and for fraud prevention, security, and compliance. We, the developer, do not receive or store this data ourselves.

4. Your choices

You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your Android device settings: Settings → Google → Ads. To remove all locally stored Sideboard data, you can clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

5. Data security

Data transmitted by the advertising SDK is sent over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

6. Age requirement

Sideboard is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed at or intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
